Emergency and Stand-By Generator Program

While Community Electric Cooperative strives to maintain a high level of service reliability, adverse weather conditions and other forces of nature can cause power outages which are beyond the Cooperative's control. To assist members in coping with these situations, Community Electric Cooperative has established a partnership with a number of local generator dealerships (listed below). These local participating dealers sell and service both portable and fixed-in-place, air-cooled, 8 to 12.5KW generators. Based upon a certification of Cooperative membership in good standing, participating dealers will extend a discount on generator purchases to Cooperative members as follows:

Portable Generators 3% up to $50 discount on cash purchases

Fixed-In-Place, air-cooled, 8 to 12.5KW $100 discount

Discount coupons with certification of Cooperative membership are available at the Cooperative's office for use at participating dealers.

For applications requiring a 15KW and larger liquid-cooled, fixed-in-place generator, the Cooperative's subsidiary, Tidewater Energy Services, LLC (TES), serves as a retail outlet for Caterpillar generators and the maintenance services of Carter Machinery Company.
