Community Electric Cooperative & RECORE Team Up… In Pink!

Community Electric Cooperative (CEC) and RECORE announce a new campaign to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness month, and honor all those who are and continue to be impacted. In support of everyone touched by breast cancer, CEC and RECORE are proud to present CECares—a sincere pledge and commitment to the community around us.

Breast cancer is not a disease that has a single story. It is as diverse and complex as our global community and it profoundly impacts everyone it touches—patients, loved ones, doctors, caregivers, advocates and more.

“CEC upholds four core values: Integrity, accountability, innovation and commitment to community,” said Steve Harmon, President and CEO of Community Electric Cooperative and RECORE. “We are most honored to support the Susan G. Komen organization, and I could not be more proud of our team showing they genuinely care—not just about raising funds, but about making a difference in so many lives.”

“Supporting the community around us has never been more important,” says Jessica Parr, Manager of Communications. “At a time when people need the most help, we are humbled by the actions of our board members, employees, partners and the entire CEC & RECORE family and their commitment to a worthy cause.”

This month, you will see linemen donning bright pink hardhats to honor the softer, often untold side of a breast cancer fight. In keeping with national brands and organizations, the traditional logos for CEC and RECORE will also transition to shades of pink. The logos will return to their usual colors in November, but our commitment to issues that impact our members, staff, and our community won’t diminish.

Breast cancer is a disease that continues to affect us all. Together, with the passion and support of our local communities, we are accelerating the progress towards a more beautiful future for the breast cancer community and beyond.
